The Beacon studio has been a pillar of Seattle’s dance culture since it’s founding in 2013. We are blessed to have the opportunity to bring Shuffling into such a special, inclusive, and community-driven space! Check them out for classes in popping, breaking, waacking, and tons of other cool styles!
Meet Your Instructors

Camille has been shuffling for the last 4 years and loves to add influence from her past modern dance experience. She is currently also studying jazz and jazz funk, as well as training/performing in gogo dance.
While not dancing, Camille can be found this summer cooking up yummy plant based food, paddleboarding, or going on long walks with an audiobook.
She can’t wait to dance the day away with you at this event!

Cisco is the founder of You Can Shuffle With Us, director of Seattle Shuffle-Thon and the Seattle Shuffle Showcase, and is a prominent figure in the shuffle community both here and throughout the country.
She has been teaching classes in the city since 2020, and also travels to festivals, presenting shuffle workshops and performing with the team she co-founded - Main Stage Shufflers.
It is not only her life’s calling, but also her greatest honor and joy to share the healing power of dance with as many people as possible.
She hopes the Shuffle-Thon will spread a little magic your way that you can take and transform into a new type of soul-deep confidence and happiness that makes every area of your life better ✨

Leanne Buentipo is a self-taught dancer, performer, and choreographer with 7 years of experience specializing in shuffling.
She choreographed a MAS Shuffle piece for the 2024 YCSWU showcase, and judged at the Canadian National Shuffle Battles in Montreal.
Passionate about sharing the MAS Shuffle Style, she teaches classes and workshops while continuing to explore other dance forms like Gogo, DnB Step, Hoop, and Muzz. A dedicated Gogo performer in her city, Leanne hopes to one day bring shuffling to the main stage.

Summer has a warm, gentle, and kind presence. She values community and connection, and strives to create an environment where students feel encouraged to move in playful ways.
With a background in dance, Summer creates thoughtful yoga sequences with fluid transitions that feel natural. She uses music as a tool to transform the space and create a clear energetic structure. As an avid cyclist and shuffler herself, her classes complement athletes of all types and levels.
You can find Summer teaching at Grinning Yogi in Capitol Hill, where she received her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2018.
Lucky Light will be closing our day out with the same unbeatable vibes that have graced the stages of NAF, Q Nightclub, and countless other venues and festivals. She can play the perfect set for shufflers, because she’s a shuffler herself! As co-founder of Main Stage Shufflers, and with 6 years of dance experience under belt, she serves as an inspirational example of what’s possible with passion, grit, and hard work. Neurodivergent, Type 1 Diabetic, and the mom to 2 boys - she has overcome a lot in order to let her creativity and light shine. Her set will have you finding energy you didn’t even believe was there, because you simply will NOT be able to STOP DANCING!

I earned my naturopathic degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR, and completed a two-year residency at One Sky Family Medicine in Seattle, WA. I specialize in digestive and pelvic floor issues, using tools like pelvic floor physical therapy, Mayan Abdominal Therapy, hormone and stool testing, and yoga. I’m also trained in performing pap smears, pelvic exams, IUD insertions, and treating common complaints.
As a cis-female, mixed race (Filipina and white), and queer-identifying practitioner, I recognize the impact of oppression and medical bias on health. My goal is to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for clients of all sexualities, genders, races, sizes, and abilities. I am sex-positive, poly-friendly, and kink-friendly.

My path to medicine began in childhood, inspired by my parents' medical careers. While studying pre-med and Gender and Women’s Studies at UC Berkeley, I became aware of how gender, sexuality, race, and class shape health outcomes. After graduation, I worked as a reproductive health specialist at Planned Parenthood, counseling patients on birth control, STIs, and pregnancy options.

“So what is this showcase
all about anyway?”
The Showcase will be a night of shuffle performances (on September 14) that include team choreographies, solo spotlights, freestyle demonstrations, educational talks about the culture and history of our style, and lots of dance circles and fun!
Shufflers from the community will spend 3 months in rehearsals, sweating, laughing, crying, pushing themselves to find new limits, and creating deep bonds with team members that extend beyond just simple “dance friends.” The showcase truly creates FAMILY in a way that can be so hard to find in adult life.
Shuffle Dance is, all things considered, still a pretty niche dance style that most people have not heard of. Our dancers swear by its magic, however, and this style has brought all of us so many blessings and benefits.
From gaining confidence, to healing anxiety, to improving our health and fitness, to making the best friends we’ve ever had - this showcase is a way for us to give back to the dance that has given us so much.
The motivation we all feel to show up as our best possible dance selves on performance night leads to so many break throughs and level ups that otherwise would not be possible. Pressure truly does create diamonds, and the growth we all feel through this process - both as dancers and as people - is undeniable.
If you’d like to get involved in the showcase, there’s still time to apply!
