Classes will be held on:

Saturday 2/7 | 1-2:30pm | Intro to Shuffle (for the TOTAL Beginner)
Saturday 2/7 | 2:45-3:45pm | Freestyling Isn’t Scary (Beginner and Intermediate Friendly)
Sunday, 2/8 | 12-1:30pm (Beginner/Intermediate Choreography)

.

Saturday 2/7 -
1-2:30pm | Beginner Fundamentals (no prerequisites)

This workshop holds your keys to the kingdom as someone just entering the world of shuffle for the first time. Unlock all of the foundation steps and transitions, and uncover ideas to make these moves your own. You’ll walk out of this workshop with all the knowledge you need to start owning that dance floor at your next show!

(if you already know the running man/t-step, etc, but would like to clean up your technique or learn new variations, you are welcome at this workshop as well!)

2:45-3:45pm | Freestyling Isn’t Scary (prerequisites: foundation moves like running man, t-step, charleston, and x-step)

You’ve got some foundations under your belt, you’re getting excited at your progress, but when it comes time to actually DANCE (not just drill), does the flow feel out of reach? Freestyling doesn’t have to be intimidating! This should actually be the fun part. Through the exploration of simple concepts, prompts, and games, you are going to walk out of this workshop feeling confident that you will never “run out of moves” again. You will learn new variations of moves to throw into your own flow, and an understanding of how to create your own moves on the fly.

Sunday 2/8
12-1:30pm | Beginner/Intermediate Choreography (prerequisites: running man and t-step)

Grab a flashlight and get ready to explore a little deeper in this workshop geared toward teaching you priceless concepts like musicality and groove. Discover how to listen to different layers of the music, add personality, and control your rhythm and tempo to add interest and flare.

This class is best suited to those who already know the running man and t-step, or who have a dance/sports background and pick up moves fairly quickly. Modifications will be provided to accommodate a variety of skill levels for this choreo!
